    nice.
i am looking for a vintage|classic treatment to use for a concept, and came upon this pretty little thing. nice don't you think.
    ...
it's not that late, just around 9.45pm, am at the office waiting to sign something out - but am exhausted and i feel like... calling danny.
but i know he's busy and now, i just want to sleep :s

On broken glass, hypnotic pods and hammocks

The next twenty or so pictures are from the past weekend, at Tanglin Camp - my 2nd weekend viewing art pieces at the Singapore Biennale.

This time around, I went with my friend Vips :p
and we laughed the entire time.

should have known it was gonna be a crazy day right from the beginning.
it started when we found (((( LOVE )))) right at the tips of our toes, in a red torn foil-pack haha - just when we stepped out of the cab. I can't tell you what it is am talking about, but if ever you're in 7-ll look at the shelves near the counter. Look for a red box, you'll know what I mean. HAHAHAHA. What they say is right, find love when you least expect it.

and if you saw us, you'd be thinking we were observing an art piece. HAHA.
    ...

The title of this entry has nothing to do with the picture of me.
Just that I was trying not to laugh when this picture was taken, and i was constantly was stuffing my mind with random thoughts i saw at the exhibit - thus the title.

random thoughts, just so i do not think too much of this one guy i miss so much.
random thought flow #89 ink, parachutes, black hut... it's not working :s hahaha.

    Find me! Find me!

    Find me! Find me!

Am as small as a dot lost in this sea of giant pen like doodles.
Found out that the art piece is called Occupation Bleue.
And i have no idea what that means. haha.

But, if i had to find something I "BELIEVE" in this, as the Biennale's theme revolves around it - it would be that I believe i am lost in my own world, deep in the blue.
    * Gasp * that has double-meaning. Didn't see it till now.

    The first room

    The first room

    That's Vips.
Surrounded by thousands of pastel kiddie drawings.

The rawness of Tanglin Camp as a makeshift gallery has added more than A LOT of character for the exhibits. I will not explain any further, except - that these halls where were soldiers used to roam.

    In a gigantic Fooze-ball

    In a gigantic Fooze-ball

I am rummaging through my phone to see if i got the title of this piece, but I can't find it anywhere. Anyway, this room was done-up like a massive foozeball and the viewers can stand among the players. Interesting details.

We saw one of those brown men players, and where his tummy should be is a tribal effigy of a woman. A bit disorienting, but fun, nonetheless.

    What on EARTH???

    What on EARTH???

This was the first video installation we saw - and i was perplexed at
the simplicity, so i thought there might be a trick and encircled the entire area until i found - nothing but chinese characters on tofu.

and vips took a snap at me.

Oh. This is the scary one.

Oh. This is the scary one.

I am PETRIFIED OF MASCOTS in ANY FORM.
I know... it's ridiculous, and they were mannequins NOT mascots - but should it decide to move i would have withered and wept.

And to view this exhibit, we had to walk up a sloped platform.
Sandwiched between two groups of life-sized dolls... i was of course scared.
And vips had no IDEA!!!! hahaha

Scared and hiding it... not very well.

Scared and hiding it... not very well.

This mixed-media is called "We Live in a Dangerous World" created by a filipino.
One of the best exhibits, i think in Tanglin Camp.

On the left you will see a family in white, and their faces are molded with appliance sockets. On the right.... I cannot describe to you, because i could not look at it from that close or i would have seriously fainted.

In the middle, vips instructs me to pose - but i am stiffling a shriek and my body refuses to cooperate.
