Tempeh I think was invented in Java, so you might see it in Indonesian restaurants. Essentially it's soya beans all stuck together in a block by a fungus. Traditionally fried in cubes and served with Gado-Gado sauce (a sort of peanut satay sauce). You'll have to try it - nothing like tofu as it's firm and nutty.
