The Birkin is being built under ICV rules in the ACT, and that means we need to run a Euro3 (and seeing as it won't be finished until after July Euro4 is probably even better) compliant engine management system.

The donor car is a Ford Focus, the 2.0L "Duratec" motor needs to be fitted with all the factory computer, wiring and control modules to ensure compliance with the emissions rules.

We've chosen to mount the ECU against the firewall to the fuse/junction box as it's both neat and convenient.
