All set up and ready to go!
A few weeks ago at the itSMF National
Conference I was given the role (sort of communist era volunteering)
of Chairperson for the State itSMF Chapters Capacity Management Special
Interest Group. Since then there has been furious behind the scenes
action as myself and a collegue from another arm of my employer have
started to stitch up all the arrangements to make it so.
Needless to say seeing the official entry on the itSMF Australia website this morning
has made my day, it's now going to happen - we have built it - now will
they come?
We're pushing to get at least 20 comers, and really hoping for a full
house of 36. It's the first Capacity Management Special Interest Group to
run here and one of the first Nationally. Naturally if you have an
interest in Capacity Management (as a part of IT Service Management) and
you're going to be in the ACT on the day please sign up!
Stood Up?
We're about 5 minutes from "Go" time and the speaker I'm introducing, Brad Cork, has yet to be seen.

Yes Phil Cass has his hand down our poor victims pants.
The Speakers Prep room the 14 of us have been working from for the past 3 days. It's just had the coffee cups, red bull cans and other rubbish cleared ready for another day.
The buses moving the leftovers from Parliament House back to the Convention Centre and other Hotels around town.
The Great Hall in Parliament House - the crowd is thinning and it looks like we're getting pushed out soon.
