Since moving the commute has been good - however for some reason just after crossing the border this morning traffic has ground to a halt.

So I'm sitting in a nice quiet warm car listening to MC Hammer and Vanilla Ice thanks to some hits of the 80's & 90's CDs looking at the countryside.

On Wednesday I'm doing a quick work trip, flying out of Canberra on the first flight out (6:15am) and heading for Sydney Convention Centre for a 1-day Vendor presentation/Forum.

I'll be getting up at about 4am and then walking back in my front door about 10pm. Just bloody terrific :(

Probably the biggest annoyance will be being in the SAME BUILDING as the Sydney International Motorshow and not having the time to spend having a look about the motorshow. Bollocks. :(

At least I'm not flying Qantas... (I hope)...

While the sun is shining it's looking to have a darker day brewing. Certainly it's not goign to be a happy day in our household.

Coming up on the first of two speed cameras on the journey. The commute
is about 17km - basically half my current commute and on very different
roads.

Having deviated from my usual commute to pick up a pussy cat condo from Woden I'm now battling peak hour traffic to get back onto the main road heading north.

I can barely see the overpass ahead and I've been here for a few minutes. Who says Canberra doesn't have traffic jams?

A new abode has been located and in 29 days the moving process begins. It's not a moment too soon as my commute has stretched out to close to an hour as the main arterial I use (Gungahlin Drive Extension) is starting to undergo duplication.

New commute will also be some 18km shorter which is good and coming from East to West not North South.

Seem to have punched out of the fog and into clear sunny sky. Sure it's still below zero (-2 degrees) but at least the sun is shining and once I get a few more kilometers down the road I'll be free of the traffic and moving nice and quick.

Onto the main arterial road I use to get to work and it's no better - in fact now with the greatly increased traffic density (heading towards the city still) it's pretty feral.

It's really really foggy this morning, so much so that even down our street there's barely any real visibility. It's going to make for a long commute if I'm travelling in this all the way.

So far this morning I've sat still and crawled along below 20km/h for about 5km and it's getting really really annoying.
