The Bank has built three new low-rise office buildings at Sydney Olympic Park (home of the 2000 Olympic Games). I'm heading into this one (shown under construction last year) to catch up with some work colleagues.
All very ultra-modern, but still has a kind of warm and welcoming feel.
So much glass. Talking of which - every second floor has a walkway which traverses the void in the middle. I'm told that when they opened the first building they identified a problem with the walkways, which were built using CLEAR glass:
1. Some people were simply to scared to walk across them; and
2. Fear of inadvertant or deliberate "upskirting".
It was quickly retrofitted with patterned glass as is seen in buildings two and three.
Free coffee 24x7 - one way to keep people (a) alert and (b) in the office instead of wandering outside to get a hit of caffeine.
Verdict: It's pretty forgettable coffee but passable in an emergency (better than instant anyway!)
What an awesome place to come for a team meeting!

One of my work colleagues has just opened a very special delivery - 10kg of Tim Tam and Mint Slice biscuits. I think she wants to kill us, slowly, with diabetes and heart disease ;-)
....OOOOO! It even has my name on it. (Derek.... not "New Zealand" or "Porcelain")
A gift from my Kiwi work colleage, Maarata, which she picked up on a recent visit back home.
Gathered in "The Hub" (aka "The Calypso Club" once a month) for a meeting/afternoon tea with a special guest from another department.
....the humble raffle ticket!
(Having some fun at work with these today)
....but no sign of the man himself. Damn ;-)
