*Minsa'y isang paruparó...

The cocoon, now empty, which had housed and sheltered my brother's butterflies. I thought it would have a silkier texture, not chicharon-bulaklak-crisp like this...

Fantastic. Really. I'm kind of jealous. I'll find some cocoons!! (But where? ;-))

Hahaha, sorry about that, simon! It was the first thing that popped into my head when I was inspecting the empty cocoon. It was so paper-thin and crisp-looking, you see. ;-) No chicharon bulaklak in Melbourne? Not even in the Pinoy or Asian stores?
roosje, I'd also love to find cocoons in their natural habitat. I found this page that gives an idea on where to look. And this website explains how you can set up your own garden as a preferred cocoon spot. Happy hunting!

Hmmm...
Anyway, they ONLY have the normal Chicharon... sigh.. it's just ok quality. There are not many Pinoy shops around tho.. just have to be lucky. Lol...
I miss the one in Philippines!! sigh..
