a rainbow at sundown

a little star dust caught, a portion of the rainbow
I have clutched" Henry David Thoreau

two fronds are about to uncurl and unfurl together.
is that what you call real frondship? ;-)
Spotted this dragonfly perched on the dead lanzones
tree outside my window. Times like this I wish I had
Harald's zoom lens or Jane's macro lens. But where
there's Photoshop, there's a way...
Nothing like sitting with a hot cup of coffee after
a hearty lunch in the shade of a small and cozy
summerhouse underneath rambutan trees and
listening to the chatter and laughter of friends
with the continuous crowing of the roosters in
the background.
Sweet and juicy and fresh from the trees -
Lanzones and Rambutan! Delicious!!!
Aha! Caught this cloud smoking ... or at least
it's shaped like a gorilla puffing out some smoke.

In Ireland, it is believed that butterflies are the souls
of the dead waiting to pass through purgatory. And
the ancient Mayans regarded butterflies as the spirits
of dead warriors. And in our modern world, for the
proponents of the chaos theory, there is the "Butterfly
Effect" - that the flap of a butterfly's wings in Brazil
could set off a storm in Texas. Hm, do you agree?
