With all the crap flying about about how "Cool" Cuil Search is I joined Alan in doing a Vanity search. Yup - it found me and most links are relevant. However they're all over 2 years old which I find quite amazing.

I've also tried a few searches to find Stinky (Ford Laser Lynx) and other things that are near and dear and they only deliver results when exact terms are used. Sort of defeats the purpose of searching doesn't it?

This is/was one of the most recognised Mazda Astinas in Australia, First shown at an Autosalon many years ago as a paint and interior only show pony "DIL3MA" it moved to Canberra through a few years ago and underwent a lot more work to put some go under the show.

However a while ago it ended up meeting with a Kangaroo and is now at Pickles Auctions in Canberra looking for a new owner. I looked at it with Kyle 3 weeks ago and we set a maximum value for the wreck that he'd be prepared to pay and be able to recover enough parts value to make it worthwhile. When it went past that we gave up - and it's still there, obviously the insurers reserve on it is a little higher than what's realistic for a car that requires about $10000 worth of serious work to be brought up to a standard where it can be legally registered once more.

Part of me is tempted to check out what it gets passed in at today as it has to be getting cheaper, every day that it sits there it's costing someone money.

Having a look at this house on a hill in Fadden. You can see my (work) building across the valley from here so it could make the commute far more civilised.

However it was a bit of a dump, with a semi vertical driveway and weird entry way etc so it's off the list.
