Temora Aviation Museum: July Flying Weekend
Aleks and I have jumped in the car to come from Canberra to Temora tot he Aviation Museum to see their collection of warbirds take to the air.
The Museum has flying days every couple of months and this weekend all their aircraft are airworthy and going up. Yesterday (Saturday) they had everything up -today the weather has turned sour so we may get cut short.

The only flying Boomerang in the world, it's been pushed into the hanger (which is open to the public) after a bit of a wet flight.

Some of the merchandise available in the Temora Aviation Museum Gift Shop. Very creative and would match the genuine "Remove Before Flight" tag hanging in our garage.

The Mk8 Spitfire "Grey Nurse", the other flying Spitfire in Australia and while it has not seen active service it has had a lot of years without much flying - less than 300 hours in fact.
Little known fact is the oils used in the aircraft at Temora are tested by the one and only Larry Perkins racing operation to ensure there's no traces of metals in the oil indicating engine wear.

The Canberra Bomber, and amazing looking aircraft and unfortunately the rain means it's not going to go up today.
