Finland
There is going to be some updates in this phlog when we get our films developed and scanned. But this can take long time. I think dark winter evenings are perfect time for this purpose, if we are not building wooden furniture, at gym, at yoga, spinning, overworking or studying.
Anyway blogging is going to continue and you can visit my personal phlog to see latest.
Why we did this trip then. I wanted to get short brake from normal daily life and get time to think, read and see the world. We both probably have travelled more than average 30 somethings, but at least I felt that I have seen too much meeting rooms and 5 star hotels, not real places and real people.
Sure, we saw a lot less 5 star hotels than during business trips. We saw cockroaches, beggars, sales persons, hustlers and fortunately also normal people. Mostly it was fun, sometimes tiring, hot, sweaty even boring, which sounds quite difficult to believe. After 6 months home started to come back to thoughts. Internal preparation to go back sweet Lauttasaari had started. It was wonderful feeling to come back. Weather was not exactly how we imagined in the arrival evening. Rainy, misty and miserable, but we have got finally most wonderful summer.
I learn ed much more than normal office year. I think I learn ed more about business out there - funny. It also became clear that it's time stop to one place for a while. "Always on the run" by Lenny Kravitz doesn't describe the desired situation now.
I must say that I value normal everyday life more than I used to. Things are in good shape here, in Lauttasaari, Helsinki, Finland and Europe. Europe is a good place to enjoy life. Is there something more important than that, happiness and possibility to enjoy about small and bigger things and everyday life.
I want to say big thanks to some people who helped us during the trip. Thanks to Timo and Viivi we had luxurious staying in Australia. Petri and Ilona provided long waited brake from the brake. It was so good to see old friends and stay longer in one place for a while. Thanks also to Mikko and Mauri at Nokia who understood well my dreams and made it possible to make this happen.
Riiku is busy fixing sauna's window on our living room floor. Hopefully later she will have some spare time and give her own view and conclusion about the worldtour.
Pura vida!
