...in Santa Rosa, Laguna (not the original one in Pangasinan).

I got lost trying to find my way to my dentist's clinic
in Biñan, Laguna. I ended up deep in the bayan or
town proper of Santa Rosa and discovered this beautiful
pink church dedicated to Our Lady of Manaoag! Wanted
to go down and take a look at the church but I was
stuck in traffic and couldn't. Next time maybe...

Each one of the many parks in the village has a statue
dedicated to Mama Mary. This one of Our Lady of Mount
Carmel is in the Maria Cristina Park. They're barely seen
here but both Mama Mary and the baby Jesus are holding
up the Carmelite scapulars.

For Catholics, October is special to Mother Mary because
it is the month dedicated to the Rosary. Just recently, our
family hosted the annual Block Rosary for a week. October
is also a month when the headily fragrant rosal (gardenia)
blooms in abundance. So whenever I find one, I pluck a
rosal to place in our garden grotto.
