So many thoughts to sort out. I am writing to learn to write better.

So help me God.

This is what I love when I bid my time from doing what I should work on; suddenly I get the urge to update my blogs. I must write, about anything, just to distil my thoughts before I resume with the work mode. I would have wanted to play ping-pong instead but it’s still office hours.

Funny how I thought I’ll have an easy time when they announced that we’re going to have a retreat next week to brain storm on forthcoming issues at least a decade from now. Initially they said that all we have to do is talk. Story-telling-a-lie for two days sounded too good to be true and boring at the same time so they decided to have a structured discussion. Now I’ve spent 2, going on 3, days with the preparations – choosing then reading the materials that I have to circulate with my group so we could have meaningful discussions. It’s been a pretty good exercise especially for me who will be swimming mainstream with CC initiatives.

Tomorrow I’ll focus again on the paper which will bring me to Lisbon come July. Yey!

It’s been more than a week since I moved to the north wing. I love my new desk. Suddenly my life is brighter; overhead are rows of fluorescent lamps that I have no need of my desk lamp, which I never use anyway.

Work wise it’s still more of the same – continuation of what I’ve been doing from the other side of the building before. There are some additions which could turn exciting in the coming days. I’m still in the process of learning (more like a crash course) on stuff related to CC so I can seriously live up to the new designation in my name card.

Hai, gambarimasu.

Memories of Bali

---------

I went to Bali to see rice terraces. Ganun kasimple. I booked a car to bring me to the rice terraces and some other sights along the way before I catch my flight at 7pm back to Jogja. The driver/tour guide was very kind in explaining what could be my best itinerary considering my tight schedule. I told him as long as I see the rice terraces and Kota beach on our way to the airport I'd be happy, he can choose the other sights.

We stopped by in this temple where Balinese bath to cleanse their bad dreams. Pretty interesting. But what I liked most was that I got to borrow and wear sarong to enter the temple. Shorts or skirts below the knee are not allowed.

I'm grateful that everything went out smoothly, even better than I imagined. Who would have thought that I could pull off a quick Bali visit when I was just working on my schedule trying to cram a lot of things within a few days. Good thing everybody's been too kind and cooperative. Thank YOU!

---------

Now I'm here again in Manila for another mission. I didn't join the WG team in the hotel so I'm staying home lounging at the 33rd floor for internet access. Tomorrow's a holiday in Japan (vernal equinox) but I'll be working. Off to UPLB and somewhere in Quezon with the ERIA WG team. Anyway, working on a weekend/holiday ain't not that bad. I've got a great view of Wack-Wack greens and again thank You, it's still drizzling outside.

Here's my fave "working spot." This was taken last January while I was rushing the WPIII chapter. The place looks a bit different now but I still like it.

Must eat kaings of mangos while here. :)

Thank you Konishi-san, Ayu-san, Asako-san, Igasaki-san. ♥♥♥

I should be more diligent in bringing back omiyage to show my gratitude.

----------

Best of all, thank YOU for surrounding me with flocks of angels. ♥♥♥

Thanks to Gerard Butler I'm now watching again Hollywood movies. Even if it doesn't have sub-titles.

-----------

Saw "The Ugly Truth" on the flight to Mumbai last January. It was my first Gerard movie and hís charm grew on me. Last week on the way to Ho Chi Minh I watched "P.S. I love you." Of course I loved it. He was there again on the small screen on my flight to Manila last Sunday saying he's a "Law abiding citizen."

I know, he's following me. Haha!
