Nighttime garden pix

I was going to delete this one because the phone's flash threw out a lot of glare but it sort of looks like you're looking through water at plants growing up from the bottom.

Starting next year's crop

Starting next year's crop

Various coleus cuttings being rooted for next year. These little buggers should be rooted well enough to go in the ground by mid august. That'll give them about 6 weeks to grow in the ground. Then I'll dig them up and put them in big pots to be kept alive in the basement over the winter. Next spring, viola! Lots of various coleus. This is the start, the number will probably double by the end of the day tommorrow.

Anti-crepuscular rays

Anti-crepuscular rays

The setting sun and storm clouds form these shadows in the humid air. This is looking toward the antisolar point opposite the sun where the lines appear to converge although they're really parallel to each other and never touch. As the sun set, the shadows increased in number but decreased in intensity until the sky darkened and they disappeared entirely.
