Lovely potato soup from the days of rationing 50 odd years ago. The irony is that at least a third of the population wasn't obese like modern times.
Apple Selection
A pick and mx selection of organic apples. All the same price, but all different tasting.
Rishtaye
This is the second time I've made this simple peasant dish. Three ingredients : tagliatelle, red lentils, fried onions. Three seasonings : cumin, salt, sumac. Tastes wonderful believe me.
Mash and medley
Bangers and mash. Didn't get round to making the gravy.
Takeaway #3
Leftovers from last night, re-heated all together. Not one to waste food, and it tasted good as well.
Takeaway #2
Not often we have takeaway food but a new place opened nearby so you have to try it out. Two very good curries and some rice with onions and spices in it. Enough left over for the next day - which is a mixed blessing.
