Playing with the Camera

Playing with the Camera

I'm always trying to find some new nifty things to do with my digital
camera. In this shot of the inside of our little house here in San Pablo, I
shot this in the dark at night, with light coming from the night light
outside and some faint light coming from another room. I kept the shutter
open for 15 seconds and this is how it turned out. So there I am, holding
my breath for 15 seconds, trying not to get creeped out taking a picture in
the dark.

Toycon Crowd

Toycon Crowd

The crowd at the Toycon last Sunday was staggering! The venue was doubled
from last year and STILL the place was bursting at the seams with people.
We need even bigger space guys!

Guess....

Guess....

What was I inking there? What am I watching? Damn, if anyone can guess what
I'm watching there with no clues at all, I'll send them a signed Superman:
Birthright trade paperback!

Gerry, Edgar and Leinil

Gerry, Edgar and Leinil

Hanging out at Leinil's place with Ed. That's me, Ed and Leinil at his
computer room/music studio. We sometimes spend the night to watch DVDs all
night long. While working of course. he.he.

Enterprise: Season 4

Enterprise: Season 4

Yes! Star Trek: Enterprise gets renewed for a 4th season! For several
months the fate of Star Trek's newest incarnation was in serious question.
It was getting to the point that the show will be cancelled at the end of
the third season. Lots of fans HATE the show, but having seen nearly
episode to date, I have to say this is very good Star Trek and a lot of the
episodes have been terrific. What the hell? Are we watching the same show
or what? For a Star Trek fan since the Original Series, that's saying
something.

Bring on the Federation-Romulan War!!!

House and Dog

House and Dog

That's our house. Well, technically our apartment, which is the half of a
duplex. Notice we haven't taken down our christmas lights yet. he.he. But
at least the parol is gone. That's 2 cubic meters of gravel in front of
the driveway. That's to keep water from going into our garage when it
rains. It floods like España in this street, probably the only street that
floods at all in all of San Pablo City. And that's our dog Eugene, who
unloads something like 2-3 kilos of shit in the garage on a daily basis.

The Story Behind This Picture

The Story Behind This Picture

This is the picture I have on my FIENDster, as well as on an interview I
did for Pixelbureau.com. I was eating at this restaurant here in San Pablo
called Sipyo 168 and it's co-owned by a friend of mine, a fellow architect.
Everytime we have a meeting of the United Architects of the Philippines San
Pablo Chapter, I go into the comfort room and it's got this really weird
light inside. I swear it isn't really green in actual, but some strange
color I can't describe. My skin turns dark grey in this light and I
wondered if I could capture it in my camera.
