Getting better

Seems like I'm getting better, slowly but surely. It is hard to tell the difference between yesterday and today, but if I compare what I was a week ago, I feel much better. For example, last week it was hard to walk once to the top of our stairs, but today I walked up three times. That is some improvement. Also, I walk my daily walks much faster than before. I still can't run, but walking is fine.

Today's movie was Pirates of Caribbean. It was good entertainment, nothing more. Actually it was exactly kind of movie you want to watch on sick leave... :)

Got today our wedding gift, nordic walking sticks! Tomorrow I can do some serious nordic walking! I'm happy nobody recognises me here in my neighbourhood...

It is strange that within one day my shape can vary a lot. In the morning I feel energetic, but later the day I might feel very powerless. I don't have any pain, but some funny feeling in the stomach.

Recovering

Getting better at home. At first i thought this would be just a holiday at home watching movies and playing guitar. But how wrong was i. Recovering is hard work! I don't have that much energy to do all the things i wanted to do. Also, i have to be very clear what to eat, drink and when.

I lost 10 kilos in the hospital, so i'm just skin and bones at the moment... There is a lot of eating to do. Eating is also hard in a way that i can't eat too much at one time. Otherwise the colon might get stuffed again. After all, i didn't like nosehose that much...

However, i try to watch a movie a day, become a better guitar player and read some books. Just finished elvis' biography. Hopefully the rain stops so i could go to the library...!
