I wonder if it's only in the Philippines that people
have both Christian and pagan images together

hmmm... probably not. there are lots of people who don't really understand (or care to understand) what the rituals, images, celebrations, and events mean. thus, they tend to treat them as mere decorations. this photo shows the variety of cultural influences we Filipinos have - Mary and Jesus image from our Spanish introduced religion and the spook mask from the same people who introduced us to MTV ;-)

You would be amazed with our religious sincretism, Jigs. Christian and african religions have been melted and in many cases it's impossible to distinguish one from the other (I'm talking about rituals, names, prayers...). Your pic is very interesting - but I'm not sure we should consider these masks as "pagan". They are just commercial, pop, part of entertainment industry. Anyway, the effect of this juxtaposition is terrific.
