jigs, i heard on a tv newscast that canadians spend half as much on halloween as they do for back to school clothes and supplies. Outrageous! i went all out when my kiddies were little, but now that they are grown up, i've stopped all that, but it seems the 'boomers' can't let go of having their fun quotient. i almost want a button that says, i'm a GEN Xer at heart and am not a self centered Boomer.

Shirl — Oh I can believe it! We've got people like those over here. And they even drive their kids house-to-house for trick-or-treat! You should get a load of the "self-centered Boomer" bourgeoisies over here who spend thousands of pesos for Christmas decor and New Year's Eve fireworks ... every year! After Halloween, the Christmas season will be in full swing here in the Philippines — I'll try to phlog for you the extravagant lengths people go through to decorate their homes. And for New Year's Eve, some people can blow as much as a US$1,000 on fireworks!!! I don't see the fun in that either.
