Hi there as i was browsing goole searching for malaysian choir i saw you phlogs and i get so attarcted by the set up.By the way im Fonzy Mendoza President Of the University Of Sto.Tomas Singers the official choir of the Royal Pontifical School of Santo Tomas the oldest school in Asia.
One Particular quality which Filipino culture is renowned for is its astounding predisposition in having a profoundly, and most importantly, celebrated heritage. The extraordinary skill of the Philippines to accept and unite with different cultures adds to the uniqueness of the civilization. This variety in the artistic division of the Filipino culture is most pervasively captured in the performances and achievements of the University of Santo Tomas Singers.
On April to June of 2006, the UST Singers under the tutelage of Prof. Fidel Calalang Jr. will embark on another concert tour, covering several countries around Asia. This will set a mark to us given that this will be the first time of the choir to perform in the region.
The Vision of the Choir to promote Philippine culture overseas is continuously realized through its International tours. It’s the choir’s objective to share the music of the Philippines, as well as to showcase the culture through song and dance, and to continuously gain more Friendship through music.
In this regard we are writing this letter to you hoping for your generous help and guidance to make our first concert tour in Asia a success. We are asking your assistance to find accommodations and venues for performances for the choir. Thus, we would be very glad if you will lend a hand for us in this endeavor.
