OK, so the 6630 (far right) isn't officially mine - it's on loan from a certain colourful network ;) It's very nice, very fast and ergonomically lovely.
I still love my 7610 (2nd from right) though. Going against the popular vote, I think the curvy keyboard works very well and it feels incredibly solid and well built. Shame it lacks stereo output for MP3s and they put the memory card behind the battery - d'oh! Pretty cool camera though.

6630 is nice, but the cam feature isn't that good, ill look for SE z1010 before i decide, but the 3G net in norway isn't online yet either... and no 3G phones in the shops, so we are pretty "3G" (trege[1] here in norway.
7610, i must say i almost bought that one, because i love the design, and features, but... as you say it lacks some things, espesially 3G (WCDMA) and has mem limits... but if That phone had those features it would been here now.
Instead of my N 6510 ;)
But time will show what phone i finnaly wil buy... it might be Z1010, but i'm not that sure since LG and Samsung also got some nice ones.
[1] When you say "3G" on norwegian it sounds like you say "trege" that is, slow on english ;)

I was actually quite suprised by the camera on the 6630 - it's higher resolution than the 7610 (@1.3MP), but the quality isn't anywhere near as good. NOK really need to hire some imaging experts to start moving from blury-phone-cam to reasonable-digi-cam. I guess that's where Sony is going to shine.
The 6630 is definately more responsive than the 7610, and the 3G on that certain network does really fly. It's not available in the shops here, but I'm sure it will do very well when it is. Very nice indeed. Make the whole mobile-web thing finally useable!
I was actually a little disappointed by the Z1010. It doesn't support certain 3G standards properly, feels a little sluggish and doesn't have a native development SDK (Java only). It's also a little chunky.

I have just given gave up on Nokia and I am giving Sony Ericsson a try. The last straw was a string of Nokia failures in our business mobile fleet. This is my 22nd GSM mobile phone since I bough my first Nokia 2012 back in 1994(?). Since then I've owned Nokia, Siemens, Phillips (errrgh!) and now Sony Ericsson. My first camera phone was the 7650 and I loved it. Now, a couple of years on, I have a K700i. Amazing to see how far technology has come in such a short space of time. Only disappointment thus fas has been battery life (Nokia REALLY has this element nailed). Everything else, however, is far more refined.

Sad to hear that - I've never had a Nokia fail on me once, although I've heard stories.
I tried Sony Ericsson once - a T68 - absolutely, without a doubt, the most useless bit of technology that I have ever owned. However, the battery lasted an eternity (that could have been because it couldn't hold a call longer than 10 seconds, if you could actually make or receive a call, which wasn't very often...) After that, I proimised myself never to fall for the SE eyecandy.
That said, I actually quite like the K700i. I still prefer the Nokia 'way' (menu systems, user logic etc), but the K700i is definately a big step for SE. They finally have a product that looks good and works well.
My first mobile was also a Nokia, a 2140, back in '95.

I really liked my 3650, but the 7610 is a big improvement. Faster and better built. Very cool.

I like my nokia 7610... There is no improvements that could be feasible outside of minor niggles, and ones which arn't properly addressed yet until the next generation of phones (3d interfaces, more responsive, no soupnazi tactics)
Seriously, no ability to add a title without third party software on the Nokia 7610? I can do it on there low end 3220! (which btw would be a fantastic phone if it had bluetooth and more ram!)

Well, series 60 to be specific. Maybe I should go with a Microsoft phone for a change?
