we did get most of the major jobs done before the baby turned up. things have been considerably slower since. however we did take advantage of paternity leave coinciding with a visit from the inlaws to get started on the shed. it's now got roof, one wall, one window and most of a floor... all timbers are salvaged and the window is half a sash we souvenired from someone's garden so this should reduce our wood/junk pile some.

now we pulled all the cardboard up so we can remember what the floor
looks like. now just to tidy up the side door and then some
furnishings...

so close, so close...

the plastering now all done and drying out. soon we'll be able to touch
it up, apply paint and skirting and call it done. done! i tell you.
unfortunately, the beautifully tiled floor is hidden in this picture.

straighten up the edges and bend an arch over the top. have yet to
remove the former so we'll see tomorrow how good the arch really is.
window should arrive next weekend and then we'll be on the home
straight.

and the rest seems to be holding up ok.
