A quiet night in front of the TV and aircon

We got home to find the house was stinkin' bloody hot. Not surprising, really, when the temps out here were nudging 37.5oC (99 oF) today. It's now 9.19pm and STILL a horrible 31.1 oC (~88 oF). Time to fire up the aircon, crack open a Pepsi Max, and chill in front of the television. Had a special job to do tonight - configure Liam's newly-modified Xbox console (I can highly recommend Hahn from http://www.stealthmods.com for modding/repair jobs). While I was waiting for 80GB of FTPs transfers to get onto the Xbox, I decided to try out the camera's 'panorama' (stitch) mode. Certainly not as good as my old Canon G2 for this sort of thing, but certainly a respectable output considering the stitching is all done on-the-fly by the phone. In addition to the low image quality, you're also limited to a maximum of three images per panorama. Time for bed. I'm knackered.

Another day. Another delay.

Another day. Another delay.

Visit to the city was short and sweet. Immediately sought an air conditioned refuge as temps soared into the high-30s (or high 90s if you're in the USA). I'm currently on a train back from the city - destination Parramatta. But I shouldn't be. I mean - I *should* be back at my desk by now! Once again, I can thank Cityrail for the 1.02pm Emu Plains service (that departed at 1.34pm) for the slow return. Bastards! To top off this great customer service experience, the air conditioning is faulty and I'm forced to sit next to a bunch of noisy schoolboys who have just finished their game of football and are dripping sweat and seeping body odour throughout the carriage. I *knew* this was going to be a bad day! Have a meeting in an hour and then I'm bailing out for the day. I can't image the journey home is going to much better than the CBD to Parra trip. (Is it illegal to spray smelly members of the general public with deodorant? I'm sure a can of Glen20 won't take up much room in my briefcase).

Potential day from hell looming.

Major problems with one of our production servers this morning. Run up to one of the server rooms (here you can see one row of racks) to discover that some moron had turned it off! This was the last thing I needed today - already got dozens of 'fires' burning and, on top of that, am heading into the Sydney CBD for a lunch meeting at 12.30pm (Three hours stolen from my day). Perhaps if I spent less time trying to type mini-essays on my mobile and take photos......? Ummm.

It starts.

It starts.

This is where a mobile photo blog starts - with a new camera phone! In my case, it's a Sony Ericsson K700i which I picked up today. Great little phone considering how cheap they are. Camera performance sucks at night, as you will see in this photo. Keep watching as I attempt to keep up my personal commitment to maintain a personal photo blog.
