A special DJ weather report 1/2

A special DJ weather report 1/2

Have decided to sit at the coffee shop to have my bagel and coffee today. Front page story on the Daily Telegraph (aka the \"Western Suburbs Financial Review\") is the super-hot temps expected here in Sydney today. I work in Parramatta, a western suburb of Sydney, where it will be at least another 2-3 oC hotter again!

DOH!

DOH!

Don't you hate it when you get to the coffee shop, only to find you don't have any money in your wallet? Ooops. Two ways to fix that.... and I don't feel like robbing anyone, so....

Cracking up.

Cracking up.

I hate when I drop a plate and it shatters into a million little pieces on the kitchen floor. I hate it MORE when I take a plate out of the cupboard, place it gently on the kitchen bench, and it then cracks in two for no apparent good reason. Thankfully, dinner hasn't been put on it yet!

I hate Cityrail staff.

I hate Cityrail staff.

These trains are a bloody joke. I don't hold the govt accountable. I blame the useless, dropkick, union puppets that staff the network. Sure - why don't half of you take sickies on the same day? Who gives a f*ck about the rest of us who do care about our jobs and want to put in a full day at work? Arseholes. Hope some karma comes your way, and I can spit on you as you lie unemployed and homeless on the street. Pricks! Late getting to work this morning. Will be late getting home. End of rant. Back to waiting for my 4.58pm train... at 5.45pm

Coffee break.

Coffee break.

My team has been working flat out today, so I've just been up to Hudsons to buy them some coffee/hot chocolate/other treats. Nice day outside - a shade under 30 oC and a nice cool breeze to keep things respectable. Tomorrow is expected to be horrific - temps nudging 43 oC (approx 110 oF). NOT looking forward to that. Still - I might venture outside to get images of old people collapsed on the footpath ;-) The things I'll do for you Phlog readers!

Funny stuff.

Funny stuff.

I love this card. It was from my sister, Kerryn, and bro-in-law, Peter, for a birthday a couple of years ago. Cracks me up every time - which is why it takes permanent pride of place in my workstation.

Goodnight.

Goodnight.

It's almost 9.30pm. Sun has gone. Street lights are on. And we're almost home again after a quick walk around the block. Just need to give the garden a bit of a water before we go inside - today's heat was punishing. Our recently-sowed lawn out the back got burnt off in parts, too :-(
